Yapral- Hyderabad Yapral is a neighbourhood of Secunderabad, Telangana, India's north-eastern suburbs. It was a village Panchayat until the mid-1980s, when it was absorbed into the Alwal Municipal Corporation (MCA). The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was formed in 2007 when 12 municipalities, including Alwal, and eight village panchayats in and around Hyderabad combined to form the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Yapral has been a member of GHMC since then (Neredmet Division, Malkajgiri Circle). Yapral was a small community surrounded by farmland in the mid-1980s, with less than 3000 people.

From 1769 to 1948, Hyderabad was the imperial capital of the Asaf Jahis. Until 1947, when India gained independence, Hyderabad served as the capital of the princely state of Hyderabad, which hosted the British Residency and cantonment.
