City History

After one of the leading industrialists in the town, Kalyani Nagar is named Neelkanth Kalyani, who founded the Kalyani Forging company in the late 60s. Although mostly a residential area, rapid growth, and connectivity increased over the course of the years, several new houses, industrial constructions, and information technology parks have emerged due to the construction of the H. Location

Geographically, the Mula-Mutha River, which splits the town of Pune in two, borders Kalyani Nagar in the south. Koregaon Park, a high-end neighborhood known as the Osho international yoga resort, is across the riverbank to the south. Kalyani Nagar has located 5 km from the railway station Pune Junction and 4 km from Pune airport. In the neighborhood, there is limited public transit. Public transportation is used instead for auto-rickshaws and ride-share systems.
