Farukh Nagar is a town and municipality in Gurugram district (formerly Gurgaon) of Haryana state, India. It is one of the four administrative blocks of Gurugram district situated 21 kilometers (13 mi) from Gurugram and shares its

Established in 1732 by Faujdar Khan, the first Nawab of Farrukhnagar and a governor of the Mughal Emperor Farrukhsiyar, Farrukhnagar flourished in salt trade until the late 19th century and was abandoned in the early 20th century, during the British raj. Baloch rulers controlled the area until the arrival of Faujdar Khan. According to the 2011 Indian Census, Farukh Nagar has a total population of 14,848. Hindi is the local language here.
